What does Wakuli's coffee supply chain look like?

A key goal of Wakuli is to “shorten” the journey our coffee takes, the coffee supply chain, as much as possible. Unlike a traditional coffee chain, Wakuli goes through significantly fewer steps. We'd love to walk you through the steps we take.

We start with the farmer, who harvests the coffee beans and carries out the first stages of processing. The farmers are part of a cooperative or a farmer group that we work with. They are responsible for collecting the coffee, quality control, and sales. The next step is transporting the coffee to a dry mill, where it’s stripped of its final parchment layer, sorted, and prepared for export by a service provider. The coffee is then brought to Wakuli’s distribution center in Watergang, where it is roasted and packaged. After that, it’s either delivered straight to your door by the postal service or served in one of our coffee bars in the Netherlands.
